The GREENSKILLS4DEAF project aims to stimulate innovative teaching and learning within vocational education and training, targeting both students with hearing disabilities and their educators. Its goal is to support the acquisition of a set of transferable, future‑oriented green and entrepreneurial skills, accompanied by closely related digital competences, while promoting interdisciplinary cooperation between education and the labour market.
Goals
- Promoting transnational sharing, mutual learning and the exchange of good practices, and bridging the gap between education and training by involving labour‑market stakeholders in the creation of materials as part of the co‑design methodology.
- Improving the capacity of vocational education and training to provide students with inclusive, innovative and interdisciplinary validated modular courses that combine green, entrepreneurial and digital skills, recognised by the labour market as essential for employability, for people with hearing disabilities and their trainers.
- Promoting digital transformation, resilience and adaptability in vocational education and training through the use of emerging technologies, such as the development of inclusive and interactive VR simulations to support green awareness.
- Creating GREENENTRE LIVING HUBs in vocational education and training to promote new pedagogies in green and entrepreneurial programmes through synergies with the labour market, experts, researchers, and others, specifically for deaf and hard‑of‑hearing people.
- Raising awareness, promoting an inclusive and safe workplace for people with hearing disabilities, and encouraging the production of transferable, exploitable and sustainable outputs that can be used not only by students with hearing impairments.
