The ENSURE project aims to bridge the skills gap related to the creation of new businesses or the transformation of existing ones in the circular economy, with a focus on the plastics sector.
The project intends to promote the acquisition of sector-specific skills and teaching methodologies for business coaches to support entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs in creating or consolidating their business according to a circular economy model.
Goals
- Foster the creation of new startups with a business model based on the circular economy
- Produce collections of best practices and educational materials to teach business coaches how to guide potential startups in the field of the circular economy, helping them create and subsequently consolidate their business
- Improve the awareness of entrepreneurs and investors regarding the opportunities offered by the circular economy, focusing specifically on those provided by plastic.
- Support the creation of circular economy startups, with a specific focus on the plastic reuse and recovery sector, potentially aligning with the local Smart Specialization Strategy (S3).
Results
- Improve the skills of trainers by offering open-access training materials and assessment tools, to teach trainers/business coaches how to guide potential startups in the circular economy sectors, with a particular focus on the plastics industry;
- Improve business for circular economy startups by raising investor awareness and informing entrepreneurs about the opportunities offered;
- Achieve greater awareness of the creation of circular economy startups at the local level, with a particular focus on the plastics sector, in line with the local Smart Specialization Strategy (S3).
