BLUESPROUT

Il progetto BLUESPROUT develops an innovative training pathway designed to strengthen the professional skills of workers and entrepreneurs in the Blue Economy sector. It supports SMEs in their search for capable and qualified professionals, while also helping young people and/or unemployed individuals enter the labor market by reducing the gap between the skills acquired during formal university education and the actual needs of companies.

The project also contributes to increasing awareness and attention toward environmental sustainability, as well as the opportunities and innovative trends emerging particularly in coastal and maritime tourism, through the revitalization of coastal marine areas and the expansion of sustainable tourism services.

Goals

  • Improve the institutional ecosystem by identifying best practices and replicable models.
  • Training of trainers to support entrepreneurs in adapting their businesses to the current market.
  • Encourage the creation of new businesses focused on the blue economy, built on a business model that integrates both corporate competitiveness/growth and environmental protection.

Results

  • Creation of an online map of best practices in the blue‑economy business sector, identifying outstanding cases of entrepreneurs capable of promoting sustainable entrepreneurship and guiding interested individuals toward the blue economy.
  • Creation of an online map and archive of best practices, along with statistics and expert interviews, to be used by teachers and trainers to enhance their knowledge.
  • Training materials and methodologies available to support entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs in creating blue‑economy businesses or in renewing their existing activities.
