The overall objective of the ENGINE project is to increase the competitiveness of European SMEs by providing them with the skills needed to defend themselves against cyberattacks and to improve the use of blockchain technology. Today, cybersecurity risk management and assessment are considered the cornerstones of a secure digital environment. This project aims to enhance the cybersecurity management capabilities of SMEs in the partner countries by providing comprehensive guidance to promote the use of blockchain by SMEs and to protect them from cyberattacks.
Goals
- Address the current shortage of people capable of driving the innovation needed to strengthen the competitiveness of European businesses;
- Leverage innovation opportunities to make the best use of ICT, delivering value to European SMEs;
- Strengthen entrepreneurial and digital skills to promote new jobs in the digital sector in Europe.
Results
- Develop a cybersecurity and blockchain training course to raise awareness of digital threats and the importance of adopting preventive measures in the workplace.
- Provide guidelines on how to implement cybersecurity in SMEs;
- Create an online, open‑source platform to support SME workers in preventing cyberattacks.
